I was determined to do something creative today, and here it is. It could make a nice wrapping paper for Mothers’ Day.

I drew it in pen and ink in my Moleskine which I am mostly not brave enough to use, it being rather nice and all!

I am a user ‘stumbleupon’ but try to only post the really good stuff here! This has definitely made it, it’s a really satisfying feeling, and makes me think of laddered tights, go visit here and see for yourself.

This was my creation.

Playing with patterns, what else is there to do on a freezing Tuesday morning?

I have become obsessed with patterns. I love them, the simplicity and complexity of them fascinates me. I have been working on this for what seems like ages, but it was really fun – and worth it ’cause they’re going in my portfolio. I started with a skull sketch, which I realised had a lot of flowery shapes incorporated in it reminding me of the ‘Mexican Day of the Dead’ (or ‘Dia Los Muertos’) imagery, so it went from there. I’ve kept the colours simple at the moment but i think i might colour it at a later date.

you can see the full sizers if you so wish here.
